HearNow.Live provides low-latency, high-definition audio directly to event attendees on their own mobile device and headphones. Plus, it’s easy to set up for producers. But like most easy-to-use products, there’s a lot of work behind the scenes that makes everything flow smoothly. Here’s how HearNow Live works.

For attendees, users scan a QR code or enter a custom URL and click “Listen”—that’s it! This provides them with a high-definition audio broadcast through HearNow Live’s web-based app with minimal latency. Because the broadcast is streamed through a specific web page, and not a separate app, it is accessible from any device with an internet browser. That means any mobile device, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer can play a HearNow Live broadcast.
Setting up a HearNow Live broadcast session is easy as well. The hardware needed includes a computer with internet connection and a basic input device. Connect your source (for example, an HDMI output from switcher) to the input device and make sure you have signal coming to the computer. Then, log in to the HearNow.Live Producer Portal in your browser, select where you want your broadcast to go from the drop down menu, and click “Go.”

The result is a clean and crisp real-time audio in a simple, intuitive interface that’s easy and inviting for users. Because our infrastructure is built for scalability, we’re able to handle as many broadcasts as needed simultaneously. Whether it’s one general session broadcasting to a single overflow room, or 100 expo floor booth broadcasting to thousands of attendees, we are able to find a way to enhance the event experience for attendees and producers.
